Account opening

Signing up at Rooster Bet, step by step

An account takes about two minutes. Verification takes longer, and getting the documents wrong is the single most common reason a first payout stalls.

01Before you fill anything in

This page is an explanation of how registration at Rooster Bet works, not a sign-up form. I do not collect details, and no site that is not the operator should ever ask you for them. Everything below describes the operator's own process so that you know what is coming and what to have ready.

Three things are worth settling before you open the account. First, your age: the operator requires players to be 18 or over, and Australian law sets the same floor for every form of gambling. Second, your name: the account must be in the name that appears on the identity document you will eventually upload, because a mismatch is the classic reason a first withdrawal is refused. Third, your intent: decide whether you actually want the welcome bonus, because taking it commits you to 40× wagering and a A$7.50 stake ceiling for the duration.

The regulatory backdrop is unchanged from the rest of this site and worth restating at the point of signing up. Rooster Bet is operated by Novatrix SRL of Costa Rica under a Tobique Gaming Commission licence; it holds no ACMA authorisation, and under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 offshore operators may not lawfully offer real-money online casino games to people in Australia. Opening an account is a decision to play outside Australian consumer protection, and that context runs through the main Rooster Bet page.

🪪

Have identity ready

A passport or driver licence photographed in daylight, all four corners in frame, under 2 MB per file.

🏠

Have an address document

A utility bill or bank statement from the last three months showing the same name and residential address.

💳

Decide the funding rail

Card, e-wallet or crypto. Withdrawals generally return by the route the deposit arrived, so choose the exit now.

🎁

Decide on the bonus

The first deposit bonus attaches automatically. If you would rather keep the balance as unrestricted cash, decline it.

02The sign-up sequence, minute by minute

Opening the account takes about two minutes. Verifying it takes longer, and the two steps are frequently separated by weeks because nothing forces the second one until money tries to leave. Doing them together on day one is the whole trick.

Minute 0

Choose the registration route

The operator supports registration by email and by mobile number with SMS confirmation. Either is fine; use the one attached to a device you will keep.

Minute 1

Enter your details as they appear on ID

Full legal name, date of birth, email or mobile, and a password. Do not use a nickname or an abbreviated first name — the account name must match the document you will upload later.

Minute 2

Set the account currency to AUD

AUD is supported directly. Selecting it now avoids paying a conversion spread on every deposit and withdrawal for the life of the account.

Minute 3

Confirm the email or SMS code

Confirmation activates the account. If nothing arrives, check spam before requesting a resend; repeated resends can trigger a temporary rate limit.

Minute 5

Upload documents immediately

Go to the profile, open the Documents tab, and upload identity and address proof before you deposit. Status appears in the same tab, so you can see when each file is accepted.

Minute 10

Set your own limits

Before the first deposit, decide a session budget and a monthly ceiling. Writing it down beats relying on judgement mid-session.

Then

Fund the account and, if you want it, take the bonus

The first deposit bonus applies without a code. The second, third and fourth need ROOSTER2, ROOSTER3 and ROOSTER4 entered in the cashier before payment is confirmed.

03Verification: the part that decides everything

Know-your-customer checks are not optional and they are not a delaying tactic. Every licensed operator, offshore included, has anti-money-laundering obligations that require it to establish who holds an account before releasing funds. The reason verification feels like an obstacle is almost always timing: players complete it when they want to withdraw rather than when they open the account, so the check and the payout queue happen at the same moment.

The HEIC problem is worth naming because it catches a lot of iPhone users. Set the camera to "Most Compatible" in Settings, or convert before uploading. And the 2 MB ceiling is genuinely tight: a 12-megapixel photograph of a driver licence is often 3–5 MB, so resize to around 1,600 pixels on the long edge before uploading rather than after a rejection.

Do it from a laptop if you can

Photograph the documents with a phone, send them to yourself, resize and upload from a computer. It is the fastest route through the 2 MB limit, and it is one of the few places where the desktop experience clearly beats the mobile one — the rest is covered under registering from a phone browser.

04Mistakes that cost people money

Registering in a shortened name. "Dave" on the account and "David" on the licence is enough to hold a payout while support asks for more documents. Use the legal name.

Depositing before verifying. The deposit will work. The withdrawal will not, and by then you are waiting on a compliance queue with money you want.

Taking the bonus without reading the ceiling. A$7.50 is the maximum wager while a bonus is active, and it includes bought bonus rounds. A single feature purchase forfeits the winnings.

Missing a promo code. ROOSTER2, ROOSTER3 and ROOSTER4 must be entered before the payment confirms. There is no retroactive application.

Opening a second account. Duplicate accounts are a standard grounds for confiscation across the industry, and household or shared-IP accounts get flagged too. One person, one account.

Using a VPN during registration. Registering from one country and playing from another creates a location mismatch that surfaces exactly when compliance reviews the account. It also tends to break sessions, which I cover alongside your first sign-in.

Age and eligibility are non-negotiable

You must be 18 or older. Providing false information at registration voids the account and any winnings in it, and no appeal process will recover funds from an account opened with incorrect details.

05Closing an account, and how to do it properly

It is worth knowing the exit before you use the entrance. Rooster Bet offers two routes: self-exclusion for a set period, or indefinite account closure that can be reopened later. Both are requested by emailing [email protected], and the operator states its team responds promptly. If the request is urgent because gambling has become a problem, the help centre directs players to raise it through live chat rather than waiting on email.

Two Australian resources sit alongside that and are free. Gambling Help Online runs a 24/7 counselling line on 1800 858 858. BetStop is the national self-exclusion register, though it is important to understand its limit: BetStop blocks Australian-licensed operators, and an offshore casino like this one is outside its reach. Self-exclusion here has to be requested from the operator directly.

06Frequently asked questions

How long does registration take?

About two minutes for the form and the confirmation code. Verification is separate and depends on how quickly you supply documents and how busy the compliance queue is.

Can I register with a mobile number instead of email?

Yes. The operator supports SMS-based registration alongside email. Use whichever is attached to a device you intend to keep, because it becomes your recovery channel.

What documents will I need?

Photo identity such as a passport or driver licence, proof of address dated within three months, and evidence of the payment method. Files upload in the Documents tab of your profile, each under 2 MB, in PDF, GIF, JPEG, JPG, BMP, PNG or TIF.

Why was my document rejected?

Most rejections come from file size, format or framing: over 2 MB, an unsupported HEIC file from an iPhone, cropped corners, glare across the photo, or an address document older than three months.

Can I open an account without taking the bonus?

Yes, and for many players it is the better choice. Declining the bonus keeps the balance as unrestricted cash with no 40× wagering and no A$7.50 stake ceiling.

Do I have to be in Australia to register?

The operator serves an Australian-language site and supports AUD, but it is not licensed here. Registering from one location and playing from another creates a mismatch that compliance will question later, so keep the details truthful.

How do I close the account later?

Email [email protected] to request timed self-exclusion or indefinite closure with the option to reopen. If the reason is problem gambling and the matter is urgent, raise it through 24/7 live chat instead.

I have spent the past nine years testing offshore casinos from an Australian bank account — funding them, clearing wagering, filing withdrawals and timing how long the money really takes. Every figure on this site is copied from the operator’s own terms or measured during testing, never from a press release, and I say plainly when a rule works against the player.
